Over the course of this post I'll be compiling strategies from our veteran players and compiling it into a strategy guide for our members. If you have a tip or trick for our members to know, put it here for everyone to see.

Don't worry about it Tragic. We all took our licks before getting a feel for the game. And we never stop learning. Unless your top of the ranking board you still have stuff to learn. And even then you're still learning to keep that top dog status.

Good way to start is to remember the following: 1) It takes gold to sacrifice. Do them 10 at a time to get a discount on the sacrifice cost. Once your monster hits 30+ the cost increases dramatically. Save your Soul of Wisdom/Enlightenment for increasing those creatures along with your normal sacrifices. Also when selling the "trash" the higher the BP the more you make on selling.
2) Contrary to popular belief, the BP doesn't matter for squat when sacrificing. I can still increase a level 58 with 10 level 1's with 1 BP each and still gain about 1-2 levels on the card. Only the Souls of Wisdom/Enlightenment seem to have any real difference in sacrifice potency.
3) The Woods of Illusion: Mission 5 is a GREAT source of selling! The mission gives about 300-500 gold per button hit and the creatures gained are in the 6-7 BP range. At 600-700 gold sell value and the money you get from the missions you can easily have the money to sacrifice.
4) The first mission is where you want to harvest sacrifice trash for rapid level advancement. Keep in mind to plan ahead what you REALLY want in your main formation. You DON'T want to level up those until you have your skill harvests ready. Remember the max is 20 and you usually have to burn about 3 before a skill up happens on average, so make sure you give yourself enough leeway.
Hopefully this helps out for now.

Hmmm I guess that leads me to my next ? How does one decide what they would like in their next formation other than powerful monsters? I know there are some bonuses Ive encountered. Are a persons choice of monsters better battlers than what the game picks? And how does one know?

Here's a good resource for you as well as the spreadsheet Nixum provided: darksummoner.wikia.com/wiki/ComboUse both resources in tandem to find the best combo for you. Rumor has it, though I have yet to confirm it, that if you use a combo similar to your faction you gain a better bonus than from another. i.e. Sin = Impulse (Red cards).

you want to go for Rarity, winged species level and faction(guild) and that makes a 5x combo

Thanks. Great board here . Loved the spreadsheet and the info about the different souls. Didn't realize there were that many different ones. All I ever really see are wisdom, enlightenment and the extremly rare skill..

another tip that isn't discussed and really needs to be is increasing your skill level (covert down, preemptive strike, increase party attack, etc) by sacrificing monsters with the same skill. I actually recently just figured it out myself as a level 100+. Therefore, I probably shouldn't have been selling anything with a skill all along....

Something I learned today: If you are close to leveling up and in the midst of running missions, keep an eye on your Exp. and BP. If BP's full, stop the mission and use it before leveling up refills your EP and BP. I'm doing the Battle Challenge Event and trying to get in as many as possible before it ends.
