I've been playing with formations. Trying to get good combos 3X or better with what I have. I like to see what the game picks as a good form as a guideline.
So I picked my monsters Combo X3: Impulse, Rarity, & Wyrn
ATK 26724 DEF 25975 HP 21073 BP 92
and compared to what the game picked . . .
Combo X1: Winged
ATK 28129 DEF 24467 hp 26191 bp 85
So ATK up, DEF down, HP up and BP down - How does the loss of my combo x3 to x 1 vs increase in ATK and HP help my form?
Or does it at all?

Combo:
Level Combo_ 5% atk- Form a party using five monsters of the same level
Rarity Combo_ 10% atk 10% def- Form a party using monsters of the same rank. Evolved (+) monsters are a different rank than unevolved. For example: Only B or B+ but not a mix.
Guild Combo_ 10% atk 10% def-Form a party using only Impulse/Convert/Psycho type monsters
Winged Combo_ 15% atk-Form a party using only monsters with Wings
Species Combo_ 15% atk 15% def-Form a party using only one species of monsters. (Beast, Brute, Creation, Crawler, Demon, Mystic, Undead, and Wyrm)
Bp Combo_ 5% atk 5% def-Form a party using five monsters with the same BP
Legendary Combo_ 10% hp-Form a party using five Dark Lords (Raid Bosses)
Skill Combo_ 10% def-Form a party in which all monsters have the same Skills

Im just now losing with monster with min skills that I spent lotsa C babies on. Lev'd them up, and they been battling OK.

One thing to remember is that Auto Pick is NOT your friend. The auto pick will ALWAYS look at the base stats first. It does not take into account the combos. It is better for you to calc the numbers and bonuses yourself and compare the stats.

How does one weigh losing a combo vs. gaining a higher level/skilled monster when constructing an intermediate team?

I think it depents also what kind of Skill your Monster got. Increase Attack or Deff VS Decrease Attack or Deff Some Monster got a High Attack at the Begin but does not Increase much wenn they level up I have a good Site that help to find out more. darksummoner.wikia.com/wiki/Impulse_Rank_A_PlusHave fun |
